Location and Ownership
Located in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, The D Las Vegas is a 26-story casino-hotel that occupies an entire city block on Fremont Street Experience. It was previously known as the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino before undergoing significant renovations in 2012 to transform into its current identity as The D. The property has remained family-owned and operated throughout its history, with Derek Stevens’ Downtown Las Vegas Events Center operating it under a long-term agreement.
Casino Games and Amenities
The gaming floor covers thedlasvegas.ca over 30,000 square feet of space dedicated primarily to slot machines, although other games like Keno, Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker, and Baccarat are also available. A designated area for Bingo sessions operates separately with its own schedule.
Apart from traditional table games, the property features a dedicated poker room equipped with 20 tables, offering no-limit Hold’em tournaments daily, as well as cash game options that include Omaha Hi-Lo. Sports betting is another significant aspect of The D’s gaming offerings due to partnerships with industry leaders for various wagering opportunities on professional and collegiate sports events.
In the non-gaming category, entertainment venues such as The Fremont Room provide live music performances, while others like the slot lounge host tournaments exclusively featuring slots games. Additionally, guests can take a break from betting at multiple dining establishments offering different types of cuisine including an upscale buffet called Baja California Mexican Restaurant & Buffet.
Accommodations and Amenities
The D Las Vegas features 629 hotel rooms spread across its two main buildings: The Silverton Tower with higher end accommodations featuring private balconies overlooking the Fremont Street Experience, or “E” (Electric) wing offering themed rooms named after downtown las vegas history figures. Guest amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi access without surcharge for guests booking a minimum of one night.
Additionally to these standard room offerings, two suites have been designated as part of The D’s hospitality options. Other on-site services and facilities accessible 24 hours consist of business center support with printing/scanning capabilities; exercise area providing cardiovascular equipment along side free weights & mirrors but unfortunately doesn’t offer showering/bath usage due budget constraint constraints within.
History and Notable Features
Since the early stages after opening as Golden Gate Hotel back in 1906 it’s been considered oldest casino on The Fremont Street Experience. Renovations have contributed significantly towards transforming this historic landmark, with updates focusing strongly around preservation methods & materials choice whenever feasible while still maintaining an ultra-modern approach to satisfy diverse clientele expectations.
A great feature about the property is its connection between old world elegance (presented by ornate fixtures throughout interior walkways) contrastingly merged seamlessly alongside modern vibrant atmosphere – one which echoes contemporary architecture prevalent today’s entertainment hub that surrounds it – Fremont Street Experience!
